Castile soap Castile soap isn't a brand but a type of soap made exclusively from vegetable oil rather than animal fat or synthetic substances. Great Skin by Cyn uses an olive oil based Castile soap. The simple nature of the soap means a lesser environmental impact due to reduced waste stream during manufacture and also faster biodegradability.

Raw Goat Milk hand made soap. Goat's milk soap can delay the signs of aging because it contains high amounts of Alpha Hydroxy lactic acid which breaks down sticky dead skin cells.  Smells good too.  From happy free range goats raised in WI.

Cocoa butter, pure and raw: Wonderful for softening skin.  Excellent for preventing stretch marks. Used on the skin it forms a protective barrier and helps alleviate skin conditions like dermatitis and excema. It is a highly stable vegetable fat with antioxidant properties. These antioxidants keep the fat from spoiling, giving your lotion a long shelf life. Although cocoa butter can be included in lotions, use of the pure butter itself can be more potent.

Coconut oil - Fractionated: The oil is light and non-greasy and penetrates the skin very well making it highly suitable for the delivery of essential oils. It can also be used as an intensive moisturizer, especially on places like the face, where the skin is known for being delicate. Fractionated coconut oil also makes a good base for body scrubs and other body care products.
Evening Primrose Oil Both oral and topical forms of evening primrose oil have also been studied for helping with acne, eczema, psoriasis, and other skin conditions. When used as a topical application on the skin, evening primrose oil has moisturizing and softening effects.

Grape seed oil Cold Pressed Grape seed Oil is a preferred cosmetic ingredient for moisturizing skin. Light and thin, grape seed oil leaves a glossy film over the skin when used as a carrier oil for essential oils in aromatherapy. It contains more linoleic acid than many other carrier oils. Grape seed oil is also used as a lubricant for shaving.

Hazelnut oil Hazelnut oil penetrates the skin quickly, and nourishes the skin.  It has a mildly astringent action and thus is a base oil of choice for oily skin or skin with acne.  Studies in Chili have recently shown that Hazelnut Oil acts as a strong sun filter and therefore I always add a drop or two to your sunscreen.Uses: slightly astringent, toning, fast absorption. Useful as base for oily, combination skins, acne. Tones and tightens skin, helps maintain firmness and elasticity. Helps to strengthen capillaries so might be useful against thread veins, encourages cell regeneration and stimulates circulation.

Kelp from the Sea: USDA Certified organic ocean kelp contains the life blood of the planet.  In masques it is purifying, hydrating and pH balancing.  No chemical additives or fillers. Helps to unclog follicles (pores), remove dead skin cells and impurities. Holds many times its weight in water.  Excellent for combination skin, blemishes, oily skin.  Not for use if you have iodine or shellfish sensitivity.

French Green Clay French Green Clay (AKA Illite Clay or Sea Clay) contains a cornucopia of valuable elements, which include montmorillonite, several (up to 9) important mineral oxides.  Green clay owes its coloration to 2 very important factors, which ultimately decide a good quality clay from a poor quality clay. They are, iron oxides, and decomposed plant matter…..Yes, that is correct, decomposed plant matter. The natural green tones found in this luxurious clay are from the very cycles of life this earth uses to regenerate itself
Fullers Earth Clay Fuller's Earth is a naturally occurring sedimentary clay composed mainly of alumina, silica, iron oxides, lime, magnesia, and water, in extremely variable proportions.
It has the incredible ability to remove oils and impurities from the skin and produces a lightening effect on the outer epidermal layer. Often Fullers Earth is recommended for  acne problems, blemishes, and people prone to extremely oily skin.

Shea Butter In Africa people have been using Shea butter for centuries to help keep their skin soft, clear and healthy. In the last few decades its moisturizing and healing properties have been discovered by cosmeticians worldwide. Shea butter has a lot of uses but it is most valued for skin care because of its protective and emollient properties.

Sweet Almond Oil  It's been a favorite hair and skin conditioner for thousands of years.  Perfect for any skin type.  Its easily absorbed into the skin and will not clog pores.  I like it as a pre-cleanse to liquify make-up.
Tamanu OilTamanu oil is a remarkable topical healing agent with skin healing, antineuralgic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibiotic and antioxidant properties.  To put this spectacular oil into perspective, and to further justify its relatively high cost, It takes 100 kilograms of Tamanu fruit, the amount that one tree produces annually, to yield just 5 kilograms of cold pressed oil!  Natives believed the Tamanu tree was a sacred gift of nature and that gods hid in its branches.  It was their answer to skin protection from hot sun, high humidity and ocean wind.
